Despite the rich culinary tradition, the global palate remains largely unaware of Africa's diverse food offerings. When asked about favorite African dishes, many people respond with confusion or blank stares. This gap stems from a long history of colonial influence that dismissed indigenous crops and cuisines, favoring Western imports and standards. There is an urgent need to shift perceptions, to celebrate and introduce authentic African flavors to a broader audience, and to recognize the cultural and nutritional richness they represent.
