Part 8/10:
In the domestic arena, the saga of Hunter Biden took a dramatic turn as he publicly defied Congress’s attempts to subpoena him. During a recent congressional session, Hunter called the investigations into his overseas business dealings "illegitimate" and refused to participate in closed-door testimony. Instead, he expressed willingness to testify publicly, asserting that his father, President Joe Biden, was not involved in his business activities.
This defiance coincided with the House GOP’s efforts to launch an impeachment inquiry into President Biden, purportedly connected to Hunter’s international transactions. The Justice Department has also charged Hunter with multiple tax offenses, claiming he evaded around $1.4 million in taxes.
