However, there's an insidious threat looming over astronauts—cosmic radiation. Exposure to such radiation can increase the risk of developing cancer over an astronaut’s lifetime.
Understanding whether we can develop machine learning frameworks capable of identifying the biological and genetic factors that make some astronauts more susceptible to radiation-induced cancer is therefore crucial. Initially, many skeptics doubted the feasibility of such an endeavor, considering the complexity of biological responses and limited data availability.
