Not all roles are on the chopping block immediately. Some categories of work are likely to persist for decades:
Skilled Physical Labor: Due to hardware and resource constraints, robots dedicated to complex physical tasks will remain scarce.
High-Accountability Roles: Professions involving legal, medical, financial, or regulatory responsibility (doctors, lawyers, financial advisors) will be less vulnerable initially.
Creative and Meaningful Roles: Creators, performers, athletes, spiritual leaders—jobs with an "authenticity premium"—will retain importance.
Nuanced Human Relations: Politicians, diplomats, negotiators—positions requiring emotional intelligence and complex human interaction—will be relatively safer for the foreseeable future.
