Yet, cross-referencing these forecasts with observable trends reveals a startling discrepancy: many experts’ predictions are lagging actual capabilities by 50 to 80 years. This suggests that AI is advancing far more rapidly than traditional predictions have accounted for, meaning that we are already entering an era where machines outperform humans in many cognitive tasks.
