The study illustrates that migrants from Western developed nations such as the US, Canada, Western Europe, and Japan are, on average, net contributors. Each such migrant brings in roughly half a million dollars in net benefits, paying more in taxes than they receive in welfare, healthcare, and other public services. In stark contrast, migrants from North Africa and Pakistan, as well as those from Afghanistan and Syria, tend to be net liabilities. They generate negative net benefits ranging from $300,000 to $600,000 per migrant. Moreover, the second generation—children of migrants—often costs even more. For Middle Eastern and African communities, these costs can increase by an additional half-million per person, amplified by higher birth rates incentivized by welfare policies.
