Neil was a highly drafted player and the previous coaching staff’s selection, but he’s evidently been a roster dead weight, clogging space without contributing. His inactivity indicates that he’s no longer viewed as part of the team’s future, and the right move would've been to trade him for whatever value could be obtained — even if it was a late-round pick. Holding onto him, especially when other teams are showing interest, appears to be a mistake and signals a lack of adaptability.
