Another questionable decision involved the wide receiver Jaylen Hyatt. Reports suggest that GM Shane has received calls exploring offers for Hyatt, including interest from the Dolphins. Back in the summer, the Giants reportedly discussed trading Hyatt, but the practice injury and inconsistent early performances may have contributed to their reluctance.
While Hyatt's production hasn't yet been megawatt, he’s a young and talented receiver with potential. Trading him for a mid-round pick could have been beneficial, especially given the team’s current rebuild phase. Instead, the Giants opted to keep Hyatt, risking the possibility of losing him for nothing in free agency come March, just like they might do with Neil.
