Interestingly, there’s speculation that Tesla may prefer to retain control and not outright sell its autonomy technology. Instead, it might generate ongoing income through licensing agreements, making each new Tesla on the road a contributor to Tesla’s ecosystem—potentially earning small monthly fees per vehicle globally.
