The current leader of the Liberal Party, Susan Lee, is under intense scrutiny for her ineffective stewardship. Since taking the helm just two months ago, she has failed to shift the party away from Labour-esque policies centered on high immigration and renewed commitments to net zero, which are increasingly viewed as political liabilities.
Instead of delivering fresh, distinct policies that would resonate with center-right voters concerned about the economy and living standards, Lee has resorted to vague statements about "values" without substance. Her mantra that "our policies are up for review, but our values are not" rings hollow in a political environment craving clarity and conviction.
