A significant insight emerges when examining the contradictions inherent in the coalition’s stance: you cannot espouse small government and lower taxes while supporting an expanding public sector; you cannot endorse cheap and reliable energy sources while supporting costly renewables and market manipulation; you cannot champion meritocracy while backing Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) policies like gender quotas; and you cannot claim to defend free speech while supporting activism from organizations like the eSafety Commissioner.
These inconsistencies reveal a party caught in a bind—trying to stay relevant by adopting policies that clash with traditional conservative principles. This disconnect has ultimately damaged their credibility and appeal.
