Part 2/10:
Announced in October, Project B aims to establish a prominent offseason league, presenting tournaments across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. The league plans to kick off in November 2026 and run through April 2027, effectively filling the gap between traditional seasons and creating an international platform for women's basketball.
Founded by former Facebook executive Ga Grady Bernett and co-founder Jeff Prrenis, Project B has secured high-profile endorsements, including signing WNBA star and WNBPA President NaLyssa (Na) Agumake as its first player. The league has already begun recruiting other prominent stars, reportedly offering multi-million dollar salaries starting at around $2 million annually, with some contracts reaching eight figures over multiple years.
