Part 7/11:
Army Horovitz, a filmmaker and commentator, added to the critique by describing NPR leadership, particularly Katherine Maher, as blatantly ideologically biased. Horovitz pointed to Maher’s past comments, including dismissing discussions of race and reparations, and accused NPR of having a predominantly Democratic-affiliated editorial staff—reporting that 87 editors were linked to the Democratic Party while none appeared affiliated with Republicans.
Horovitz and others argue that given these biases, federal funding for NPR and PBS is unjustifiable. They contend that such organizations have abandoned their mission of unbiased journalism and education in favor of partisan activism, raising questions about whether taxpayer dollars should continue supporting them.
