In one exchange, Maher challenged Eden about the sexism prevalent in show business during her career, saying, “Even in the 60s, the way especially in show business, what people got away with… especially a hottie like you, I mean, they must have or everybody must have been taking their shot.” Eden, patient and composed, responded calmly, “I did not have a problem,” yet her discomfort was palpable, especially when Maher, casually picking his nose, asked if anyone ever “just took their pants off” in front of her. Her disappointed gaze betrayed her awareness of how invasive the conversation was becoming.
