Part 10/12:
Decline of the American Urban Landscape
The pattern of urban decline reflects a systemic problem with governance under increasingly leftist leadership. Cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and now New York are shrinking, their populations dwindling at an alarming rate due to policies prioritizing progressive reforms that often backfire, causing economic stagnation, rising crime, and social fracturing.
Experts describe this phenomenon as the “death of the American city”—a metaphor for the failure of city administrations that have abandoned their traditional roles of maintaining safety, infrastructure, and economic vitality. These cities, once thriving centers of commerce and culture, are now resembling failed states or, worse, Mogadishu, where lawlessness and neglect dominate.
