The poll further reveals ideological divides, especially regarding workforce composition and management. A majority of Australians—41%—believe that centers staffed solely by female educators would be safer for children. Conversely, only 30% agree that childcare centers with both male and female staff are safer, leaving room for debate over the best staffing models. Interestingly, the notion that government-run, community-focused childcare would inherently be safer was also discussed, aligning with some of Anthony Albanese’s ideological aspirations for universal childcare.
