Part 7/12:
Tesla's plan involves initial deployment in major metro areas such as the Bay Area, Austin, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Florida. By Q4 2025, Tesla anticipates having around 8 to 10 U.S. metro areas operational with a small fleet of robo-taxis. In Q1 2026, the number of robo-taxis could reach 30 million people served across 10 metro areas—a significant expansion that positions Tesla as a key player in urban autonomous transport.
The company aims to deploy around 1,500 robo-taxis by the end of 2025, with the goal of reaching 20,000 full robotaxi equivalents by Q2 2026. Each robotaxi is expected to cover around 200 miles per day, contributing substantial revenue and reinforcing the economic viability of Tesla’s robo-taxi model.
