One of the most recent incidents exemplifying this trend occurred at a Dallas ICE facility. A 29-year-old man named Joshua John carried out a shocking attack from the rooftop of the building, opening fire on migrants. During the assault, he targeted three migrants, resulting in one death and critical injuries to two others before he ultimately took his own life. The attack was driven by a clear motive: John viewed ICE employees as illegitimate and described them as individuals "showing up to collect a dirty paycheck." He explicitly stated his intention was to maximize lethality against ICE personnel and inflict property damage.
