Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, publicly supported Carlson, asserting that the attack on him was an attempt to "cancel" a fellow conservative and that the United States should focus on confronting political adversaries on the left instead of dividing the right. Roberts emphasized that despite disagreeing with Fuentes' views, canceling or silencing him was not the solution, asserting that debate and challenge are proper avenues to confront problematic ideas.
