Most contemporary AI operates through deep learning, a software mimicking the human brain's neurons. Instead of explicit programming for every task, AI systems are trained using vast amounts of data from the internet, enabling them to predict and generate responses based on patterns.
This process resembles training wheels: initially, AI is guided but, once trained, it can independently analyze new data. Importantly, current AI models lack consciousness; they are silent calculators—powerful yet inert in emotional or intentional terms. They generate outputs based solely on statistical probabilities, often making errors in ways that are difficult to trace or understand.
