Sabri’s property has become a makeshift community with tents, a tennis court, a garden, and a barbecue pit, resembling a city within a city. While some neighbors felt that residents "weren't hurting anyone," the reality of theft, drug use, violence, and health hazards quickly contradicts that notion.
City leaders are planning legal actions to clear encampments, but these measures are often delayed by legal processes. Meanwhile, the human toll mounts: multiple individuals wounded in shootings, some fighting for their lives, and entire encampments becoming unsafe zones.
