This skyscraper, which only opened in 2023, was intended to be Portland’s premier luxury destination. However, due to underperformance and a lack of tenants, its financial viability disintegrated rapidly. The hotel and residential units, which were supposed to symbolize Portland’s revitalization, now sit as empty shells. In fact, only a handful of condo units have sold out of the 132 available, and the office space remains largely vacant—Portland’s highest vacancy rate in the United States.
