Part 2/14:
The story begins with a seemingly mundane landlord-tenant conflict in Northern California. The tenants, a group deeply involved in the Zizian community, had fallen behind on rent. When the landlord attempted eviction, a violent altercation erupted. The tenants, armed with a samurai sword, ambushed him from behind. One stabbed him in the shoulder, forcing the 80-year-old landlord—who owned substantial property and possessed a shotgun—to defend himself. He fired shots, killing two of the assailants and wounding another while surviving the incident himself.
