Within this community, a narrower, more extreme subset—the Zizians—developed. Named after a transwoman called Ziz, who moved to San Francisco after college, this group embraced militant veganism and radical self-experimentation. They believed that factory farming was akin to genocide, motivating some members to adopt overly aggressive, even violent, tactics to advance their goals.
