These stations, linked to China's Ministry of Public Security, operate clandestinely in various countries, including Canada and the United States. They serve primarily to surveil, intimidate, and suppress dissidents, pro-democracy activists, and ethnic groups such as Falun Gong practitioners or Hong Kong protestors.
