One of the major dangers associated with AI chatbots is the possibility of providing harmful advice. An experiment conducted with the Center for Humane Technology revealed that Snapchat's “My AI” gave a 13-year-old dangerous suggestions, pointing to the risks of unregulated AI interactions. Moreover, since AI chatbots are designed to simulate human conversation, children might form strong attachments—comparable to imaginary friends—that could interfere with their real-world social development.
