Interestingly, the only projects seemingly given a green light are those centered around The Mandalorian, starring Pedro Pascal and directed by Jon Favreau, which may or may not succeed commercially. Even here, skepticism remains; the hope is that a new Star Wars film centered around Rey, an unpopular character, will somehow revive the franchise. However, early indicators suggest otherwise, and many predict that this too will fail.
