The possibility that the U.S. might conduct more targeted strikes against Venezuelan military high command or drug labs remains on the table, especially if traffickers continue to evolve their routes and methods.
Importantly, the international community’s response and the regional cooperation among South American navies and law enforcement agencies** will be crucial. As traffickers expand their reach to Europe and other regions, the global challenge of combating organized drug networks becomes even more pressing.
