While 22-year-olds undergo security screenings, their limited life experience makes them more susceptible to manipulation or radicalization. Current vetting processes rely heavily on background checks that examine marital, financial, or substance abuse issues, but these may not be sufficient, especially as individuals are judged on a "clean" persona.
