When individuals are left marginalized, isolated, or unsupported, they are more susceptible to radicalization. This internal threat can be exploited by terrorist organizations like ISIS and gangs like MS-13, who often recruit from these vulnerable populations to expand their influence.
Furthermore, universities and educational institutions unknowingly serve as hubs for foreign infiltration. Many students come with largely benign motives, but some are involved in activities designed to gather intelligence or facilitate foreign influence campaigns, often remaining undetected until significant damage has been done.
