Part 2/11:

Disney's multi-billion dollar gamble on Star Wars appears to be facing some serious challenges. Since acquiring Lucasfilm in 2012 for over $4 billion, Disney has poured massive financial resources into expanding the franchise. This includes investments in theme parks, such as a couple of billion dollars spent on two Disney parks, as well as the now-failed Galactic Star Cruiser hotel, which cost nearly $1 billion before closing. On the creative front, Disney has invested around $3 billion in shooting and marketing five films, along with billions more dedicated to enriching their presence on Disney+. Despite these efforts, recent performance metrics indicate that Star Wars may not be delivering the returns Disney anticipated.
