Gareth Edwards’ journey in filmmaking began modestly. His first feature, Monsters (2010), was a scrappy, low-budget production shot in Central America with less than half a million dollars. Operating with minimal crew, Edwards handled almost everything himself—operating the camera, creating visual effects, and managing every aspect of the production. Despite the limited resources, the movie was a critical success, showcasing Edwards’ talent for storytelling and visual craft.
