Facing Adversity at Sea: The First Attempt and Its Lessons
Just 600 miles into the race, tragedy struck. Two of my teammates fell ill and were evacuated by a passing rescue vessel near the coast of Africa. With the remaining team members, we faced a stark choice: abandon or push forward. We chose to continue, despite being in 24th place—third from last—and many doubting our chances of finishing.
