The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) recently proposed a new set of guidelines designed to safeguard Japan's entertainment industry from meddling outside its borders. During a recent seminar, five key principles were outlined, emphasizing long-term strategic support, expansion of Japanese content overseas, and—most notably—no interference in the content of creative works.
