Part 4/10:

Much of the criticism has focused on the show's writing quality. The episodes are riddled with plot contrivances, convenience, and weak dialogue. For example, the opening scene features a clunky exchange where a character boldly demands a duel, only to be killed instantly—lacking proper buildup or emotional weight. This level of lackluster scripting sets a tone that does not bode well for engagement.

Furthermore, characters often feel shallow and unrelatable. Many actors deliver lines as if they are reading from a script for the first time, with little conviction or depth. Lee Jung Jae, at least, manages to bring some gravitas, but most others seem to be performing in a vacuum, delivering dialogue that feels disconnected from the universe's stakes.
