Part 5/10:
Poor Plot Construction and Lack of Stakes
The series relies heavily on plot contrivances—things happening with ease, seemingly designed only to move the narrative forward without logical progression. For instance, the death of Master Andara is quickly orchestrated without proper setup, making it feel pointless. Episodes are filled with convenient coincidences and superficial action, diminishing any real sense of tension or mystery.
One notable example of poor storytelling is their handling of a murder mystery element. The show tries to create suspense around the true identity of a killer, but the mystery is shallow and easily diffused by reveals that lack complexity or buildup. This results in viewers being uninvolved and uninterested.
