Part 4/17:
Simon Dixon, CEO and co-founder of bank2future.com, contributes his vision rooted in decades of experience and innovation. Having attempted to build a bank that is owned by its users and funded via trust structures—long before Bitcoin emerged—Simon faced regulatory obstacles, notably being told he needed to raise millions of pounds and operate within the flawed confines of fractional reserve systems. These constraints motivated his discovery of Bitcoin at its inaugural conference in Prague in 2009, where he recognized that blockchain technology could enable the creation of a bank that genuinely puts customer ownership and control first.
