Part 4/9:

In the story, the princess insults princes for their appearance—calling one fat, another tall, and others pale or red-faced. Her nastiness culminates in mocking a worthy old king, whose beard is compared to an old mop, earning him the nickname "King Grizzly Beard." The king, deeply offended, vows that she will marry the first beggar who comes to the palace, a punishment meant to teach her humility.

A traveling musician, disguised as a beggar, arrives and captivates the king with his singing. True to his word, the king offers his daughter to him, much to her dismay. The musician, who is actually King Grizzly Beard in disguise, takes her away and leads her to a series of humble settings, from a forest to a meadow, a city, and finally a modest cottage.
