Strengths and Weaknesses of PoS

Advantages:

  • Lower energy costs, making it more sustainable.

  • Facilitation of sharding, increasing throughput.

  • Potential for self-healing mechanisms that revert after attacks or forks.

  • Permissionless participation, as long as you hold ETH.

Risks:
