Jupiter’s atmosphere is predominantly hydrogen (~90%), with helium (~10%), alongside traces of methane, ammonia, and other gases. Beneath the clouds, the planet's immense pressure causes hydrogen to transition into a metallic state.
While not as prominent as Saturn’s rings, Jupiter does possess four faint planetary rings. These rings are narrow, thin, and difficult to see from Earth, with the main ring being approximately 6,500 km wide and featuring a notable feature called the Metis notch.
