Part 13/15:
Our very own galaxy takes the top spot in beauty and significance. While we cannot see it fully from the outside, observations from within reveal a grand spiral structure spanning about 120,000 light-years with hundreds of billions of stars. Our skies are dotted with spectacular nebulae, star clusters, and satellite galaxies like the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds. The Milky Way’s halo contains numerous dwarf galaxies, emphasizing its role within the Local Group of galaxies.
