The Janus/Epimetheus ring is another intricate feature, originating from the tiny co-orbital moons Janus and Epimetheus. These moons, roughly 200 km and 130 km in size respectively, share nearly the same orbit but periodically switch positions due to their gravitational interactions, a process that occurs roughly every four years. Their shared orbit results in particles being knocked off their surfaces, forming a continuous ring dubbed the Janus/Epimetheus ring.
