Historically, media narratives in Japan have often depicted self-criticism or anti-Japanese sentiments, echoing patterns seen in some neighboring countries like China, Korea, or North Korea. Today, with increased access to diverse viewpoints, Japanese youth are increasingly confident in exploring and affirming their historical identity and cultural traditions.
