On the fourth night, Anna told her family she was feeling unwell and returned to her cabin. The following morning, when she didn't come to breakfast, a frantic search began. It was during this search that a crew member made a horrifying discovery: Anna's lifeless body, wrapped in a blanket and covered in life jackets, hidden under a bed in her shared cabin with her two stepbrothers. The ship, carrying nearly 4,000 passengers, abruptly changed its course to Miami, where authorities took over the investigation. The FBI Miami office quickly became involved since her death occurred in international waters between Mexico and Florida.
