A fundamental misunderstanding is that the Solar System was formed at the same time as the universe. In reality, the universe is approximately 14 billion years old, whereas our Solar System is about 4.5 billion years old. It formed from the gravitational collapse of a giant molecular cloud, most of which became the Sun, with the rest coalescing into planets, moons, and other smaller bodies—a process that happened billions of years after the universe's inception.
