Contrastingly, modern movies often suffer from prolonged exposition, heavy-handed rehashes, and underdeveloped characters. The obsession with making everything “relatable” or “humanized” sometimes undermines the core of these stories—monsters and enemies should be points of awe or fear, not emotional puzzles.
