Its towering presence has also graced the screens in numerous adaptations of The 39 Steps, notably in scenes where the protagonist makes a daring escape.
A fun but grim fact: the construction of the bridge claimed the lives of 78 workers over seven years, with rumors suggesting that at least one body was lost forever within its foundations. Despite the danger involved in its construction, today the bridge stands as a testament to Scottish ingenuity and an iconic filming location.
