Turning to the film’s artistic execution, the group criticizes Paul Thomas Anderson, a director regarded by many as a Hollywood icon, for his inability to craft short, fast-paced movies. Once celebrated for Boogie Nights, Anderson’s later works are seen as long, slow, and sometimes purposeless—characteristics that are attributed to his style rather than a lack of talent.
The film’s narrative is also characterized as disconnected and absurd — a Hollywood power fantasy filled with unrealistic scenarios like an organized Antifa group easily taking over an ICE or border patrol facility with no resistance. Such elements, alongside implausible portrayals of violence, are viewed as propagandistic rather than realistic or engaging storytelling.
