A core complaint is that the show fails to develop its universe meaningfully. Instead, it seems more obsessed with superficial references—alien paraphernalia, namedropping of xenomorphs, and nostalgic set design—rather than exploring rich storytelling possibilities. The writers appear more interested in mimicking Alien’s aesthetic than expanding on its mythology or characters.
Moreover, the show’s handling of advanced technology and communication is questioned. How could a character, many years after departure, make contact with Earth with such ease? The technical limitations introduced in previous films—like time delays and communication lags—are conveniently ignored, undermining the show's internal logic.
