The movie’s narrative appears to be a series of disconnected scenes with little concern for logical progression. The story begins with Sonia in her village, which is inexplicably vulnerable despite fortified walls. From there, she quickly transitions to a forest setting and random encounters with bizarre creatures and environments—rhino-like beasts with Sonic the Hedgehog teeth, baboon-faced pirates, and a magical realm that looks more like a poorly rendered CGI nightmare.
